Has anyone fished inlet in the last week? We - Cocoa Beach - just got a fresh batch of the red algae and I don't want to waste my time if Sebastian is clogged with the stuff.

South of the inlet was clear the other day. We still have some on the beach and it comes/goes with the tide. However it is fishable - me and a friend scored keepers this AM. Fishing has been going off past couple of days.

What is the "red goo?" I call it snot, and it seems to come w cooler summer water (Up welling?), I think I've noticed the past couple of years?
Fished Monday evening off Melb Beach, and it was gone, thankfully. Fishing was on!
Would like to know why the red goo comes? Cause?

mullet have been running hard southbound from Jacksonville and headed your way!

I would like to come down and try some surf fishing, although I have caught some around jetty park, cocoa beach, Patrick and satellite beach, it seems better from mel beach to the inlet or even south of the inlet(which I don't have much experience in), any tips would be great!

Dang that's awesome, always a tough call for me where to go!

Was in south beach last weekend and got a slot on an xrap(white) 9-1-17 by 0700, next morning got a short, its too easy down there and around juno.

C54 and other outflow water has the Inlet junked up; more fresh water than salt. Fish at your own risk.
