Brought here as children, they work and study, keep their noses clean, and now they may be deported to countries they barely know.

Maybe Congress will act, but I'm skeptical.

Elián González (born December 6, 1993) is a Cuban national who, as a young boy in 2000....

Was returned to his family...

Did you support that action at that time? I thought it was wrong and that was when Cuba being socialist was a bad thing and we gave people sanctuary from the oppresive government of Cuba.

Now DACA is not people from an oppresive government but you say we shouldn't return them to family? but we should have returned the kid to Cuba? (if you did say that)

The dreamers rasied their hands and said here we are.  Now they are at risk.

The Elian Gonzalez affair has nothing to do with the DACA scanario.

Yup, one should have never trusted the PiC. He was an equal opportunity disaster.

A disaster is terrorizing 800,000 law abiding students and employees who were brought to this country as children and now could face deportation to countries they don't even know.

How about DACA people serving in the military?

Yeah, it's a DiC disaster all right.

Trump is the disaster. Pretty soon they'll classify him as a natural disaster, like a hurricane or earthquake. His admin keeps dropping like flies and he is tearing up the country like no one before. What a train wreck. Pure garbage. To consider Obama worse than Trump is utter ignorance or pure unsubstantiated hate. Only good thing about Trump is he makes me feel better about my vote for GW Bush.

Great timing.

There are many DACA's displaced in Texas due to the hurricane, let's pile on and give them this to worry about at the same time.

This couldn't wait?

Mr. Law and Order is a criminal himself but wants to shuck and jive while calling out people that know no other life than the one they have led here.

Talk about a black heart, damn.

I believe in prayer and I hope people played for his soul during National Prayer Day.

Yeah, the PiC was doing the same until the 4th year of his presidency. Don't remember so much as a whimper from progs about the unfairness of it all between 2009 and 2012. But, anyway, the law is the law and these people must be booted unless the law changes.

NO, congress was the root of this not Obama. The DREAM Act was in limbo since 2001 because of conservatives. 108th-109th congress Republican Majority. Again, you're just making shit up.

Now would be a good chance for Congress to do something bipartisan and pass the DREAM act into law once and for all.

These kids are Americans but for a piece of paper.

The DIC was singing a different tune on DACA in 2012

Thanks to archive-spelunker Andrew Kacynzski of CNN, we know that during the 2012 Republican primaries - when he was merely a reality TV star - Trump was singing a different tune. Asked on his favorite show ever, Fox & Friends, to weigh in on a squabble between Michele Bachmann and Newt Gingrich on immigration, Trump rejected the notion of throwing out a family that has been here "for 25 years" on the basis of "compassion."

He wasn't in charge of enforcing the country's laws then. For all you know he has the same position now.

Case study in the lack of leadership. Another punt to congress so he can deny responsibility.

I have heard that some hollywood types are opening their homes to some DACA kids. Thats compasionate I guess, unless they mow the lawn and clean the house as a return favor, then its unpaid labor..

If they don't have a job and I give them a room out of compassion and they happen to clean the house and mow the lawn of the house they are living in, there is nothing illegal is there??

I don't have to pay them to clean the very house I'm letting them live in right?

Deporting people to a place they know nothing about is a special level of cruel.

According to a poll I saw, only 14% of people support deporting DACA kids and less than 1/3 of the country wants a boarder wall or is against trans people serving in the military. It's almost like the President is intentionally trying to destroy his party's chances of keeping Congress in the next election and make sure he doesn't get a second term.

Unfortunately, when 30% of the people can't name the VP I doubt it will matter.

So, 4 years ago, when people were abandoning their children at the border and telling their own children, walk north until the police find you, THAT was NOT a special Level of CRUEL????

Abandoning their children at the side of a road in Mexico and telling them walk North through all these dangers, you might get raped, you might die of thirst, tearing their own children from the only home they have ever known and from their family and forcing them into a country where they don't speak the language, That is NOT CRUEL???

That the President at that time set up immigration policies that favored those CRUEL and unusual actions Is inhumane. Obamas policies led to parents abandoning their children in a desert and telling them walk into danger until hopefully you get arrested. That situation has to be fixed... It is compassionate to do away with that policy, to stop such a CRUEL inhumane immigration policy.

They tend to vote dem. That's all I need to know. Throw them out - they are too stupid to be productive Americans. If there were any doubt left, the PiC  instituted this policy. That unequivocally indicates that the policy is stupid and harms America. Finally, the people have spoken. Trump ran on ending this BS and we voted him in.

If so why do illegals send 56 billion with a b out to a home elsewhere yearly?

1. post the source of your BS numbers

2. Illegals are not necessarily the people that DACA covers

3. If your number is right, which I highly doubt it is, was saved 3-10 fold by American business owners utilizing illegals for their workers.

So cheaterd numbers are probably right. But the amount they help save farmers etc counters it probably like 3-10 times. Now they can say well that money can go to American citizens but they are not willing to do that work no matter the money. Ots complex and blaming amd deporting the immigrants is not the solution. It will only burden the economy even more.

I don't think you understand what DACA covers nor understand the people it covers as noted previously. Also, that money they send back is nothing compared to what they offer American businesses.

Yup that's a lot of money for our country that is being kicked out:

$1.5 trillion to U.S. GDP over a decade. GONE

People under DREAM Act to add $329 billion to the U.S. economy by 2030. GONE

Prospect of Naturalized citizens adding $45 billion to the U.S. economy over five years. GONE

11.2 billion in state and local taxes a year GONE

$611 billion to the Social Security system over the next 75 years GONE

That's around close to 3 trillion dollars leaving the country.

Now add in the money that businesses save utilizing their services for jobs Americans do not want to do even if you pay them 3 times the amount.

Now deduct the amount spent on deporting illegals.

Now regardless of what amount of taxes go to these people it still will not make up for it in our economy.

This is why Trump's economy will fail among other things.

611 billion divided by 75 years equals 8 billion per year

8 billion per year paid for by 800,000 'teen agers' is 10,000 per year.

for 75 years???

1st of all... in 75 years they will be collecting social security, not paying in.  But lets believe this number that they paid in 611 billion over 75 years.

That is $10,000 per teenager per year for 75 years starting this year.... I don't believe it

unless those doing this know that social security costs are going to sky rocket and that everybody will be paying 10K per year into social security AND that Social security payouts are only  going to go to... lets see, teenagers plus 75 years equals 90 year olds???

You claim that These 800,000 teenagers are going to pay 10K per year for 75 years INTO the social security system...

No, I call bullshit... even if the democrats win some seats and even if they get the presidency back someday... I still call bullshit on these numbers...

It has been proving beyond all doubt, through many years of data, that if someone attempting to do math is a Repug, then the math is all ways wrong.

Please discuss the math of "trickle down economics"...

Fortune Mag: Ending DACA would reduce the nation's GDP by $433.4 billion over a decade. Another study by the Immigrant Legal Resource Center states that 685,195 young immigrants would become unemployed immediately, causing employers to incur $3.4 billion in costs associated with the termination and replacement of employees. Without DACA, tax revenue would be seriously impacted. Over the next decade, $24.6 billion in Social Security and Medicare contributions would be lost.

F Off is what you get. I just showed you one conservative report. Tons of others out there that show MUCH more.

findings from Edwards and Ortega, which calculated that undocumented workers contribute 3 percent of GDP, or nearly $5 trillion in economic growth over ten years

yup, it's a big economic mess to get rid of them. Top it of with building a wall and isolating the USA from the rest of the world equals economic doom. Isolationism never works and is a main cause of world wars.

They're not going to be teenagers for 75 years. They'll become adults, have kids who are in turn contributors, buy real estate, open businesses, employ people, produce things. . .all that jazz that educated, hard working people do.

No that's a ploy to get them to do a job that most anyone would do but avoiding the requirement to report an illegal alien.

A lot more Hispanics would vote for the republic party if the party could stop thinking that appealing to the worst instincts of it's base was a sustainable winning strategy.
But they have gone hard core in the opposite direction by selecting this piece of shit president.

Trump got a higher percentage of Hispanic votes than Romney, who was all for amnesty. Why, you ask? Because Hispanic citizens don't want these criminals taking their jobs either. Trump will probably get an even higher percentage in 2020. In any case, Trump offered the right policies to get elected. You buys did not.

Oh? The dems sure seem to think that identity politics for non-whites is a winning long term strategy. The problem for the dems is that whites are a majority. We win that battle, as the 2016 election should have shown you. Given that dems appear to be doubling down on their identity politics, we should expect the same results.

No, prog stupidity. They got this identity politics ball rolling and didn't think about the inevitable consequences. Has nothing to do with bigotry. When you encourage everyone to see themselves in terms of their ethnic/sexual/whatever identity, why would you expect one group to do otherwise?

Now, I have seen quite a few editorials by the smarter progs who are seeing the trap they laid for themselves and urge their fellow progs to stop the identity politics. But, NSR progs are far from being "smarter progs."

Trump did only slightly better than Romney, but a lot worse than McCain.
This dumb move will make things worse for the next (not a traitor presumably) Republican candidate, unless the party that controls the entire federal government decides it actually wants to reform our screwed up immigration system.
I think that'll depend a lot on where President Hatch decides to take things in his 2 year term.

Even at this moment, the deep state and the moderate elements of the GOP are cutting out this cancer of ignorance.

Of course they will try to get a tax cut while everyone is marvelling at the president's blatant ignorance and grandstanding.

800,000 soldiers and students, not to mention their allies, are a lot of people to make enemies of.

Washington (CNN)California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein suggested Tuesday that then-President Barack Obama's executive order establishing protections for young undocumented immigrants may not have been legal.

As the Trump administration announced Tuesday it would end the Obama-era program known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said the decision came in part because the administration thought creation of the program was an illegal action that would fall apart in the face of threatened lawsuits from several state attorneys general.
Asked in an interview with MSNBC's Chuck Todd if DACA was legal, Feinstein cited the legal threats, then said she didn't want to delve into the issue.
"The point is, DACA is here," Feinstein said.
Todd then noted that the senator seemed to think the Obama executive order was "on shaky legal ground."
Feinstein responded: "It is. That's why we need to pass a law, and we should do it."
When he moved to strip protections from deportation for hundreds of thousands of young undocumented immigrants, Trump included a delay before the decision takes effect and called on Congress to pass a bill enacting a permanent solution.

Let the court decide.

I imagine Trump made the move because he knew it would stand in court.

The decision just killed any chance of Latinos voting Republican and they will need them coming up.

It was ONE mans law.

Trump has the authority to take it out.

Congress has the ability to do something about it.

Lets see if they do!

The million effected are more important. They are Americans.

DACA ends, but those on the current rolls will be unaffected. That would be an easy, morally just solution. The idea of deporting them is simple cruel.

Yeah, a person that is now 15 and was brought here when they were 1 or 2 will have to leave in 2 years. They should be financially stable. Right. Top it off with typical racial oppression. What a fucking moron you are. And with an attitude like that it's also clear you were given anything you have in life.

So they aren't working, eh? Why would we want more bums here stealing our tax dollars?

And of course you would rather have them than productive citizens like me. Progs need ignorant bums who have to depend on welfare to boost the dem voter roles. Hard working Americans have rejected prog values/depridations.

Sure they are, but to steal a line from the republican distant past: "If American citizens want the jobs, they need to pull up their boot straps to get to it." The are oranges to pick and hotel rooms to clean, if you want a job, go get it.

40% fortune 500 companies were started by immigrants, I'll hazard the guess that many of them are for more productive than you and FK could ever dream to be.

Any financial analyst will tell you this move is going to hurt our economy more than help it. It's nothing to to with tax dollars, economy or finances though. It's straight up fear and hate, nothing more.

Where are your grandparents or great grandparents from?

You guys need to listen to actual news once in awhile. I realize Limpballs saying the hurricane is a fake is way more interesting, but your lack of common knowledge is frightening.

If you want actual jobs for our people, have Trump use Americans at his resorts and golf courses.

That guy is a disgrace to all humanity.

He's in Palm Beach, I guess he's not evacuating because the seriousness of Irma is fake news.

He needs to go away and not come back.

So fishy hates brown people like a Typical Repug. They claim to be KKKristians(they are) but would ban Jesus from entering our country because he's not white.
HOWEVER they support a traitorous molester who's idea of immigration is only letting in people with skills and can speak English. Of course those people won't be taking any of his supporters jobs. Just the ones that takes a brain.

This makes more sense:

"Please don't preach about being "pro-Life" when you want the Government to use rationale from an ancient religious document
to legislate children to be born to those who cannot take care of them.

Then you don't want that take away any financial support from them.

That makes you Pro-BIRTH, not Pro-"LIFE," and not very compassionate to those children who are actually ALIVE,
and not just a growing embryo.

Pagerow: Trump rejected the notion of throwing out a family that has been here "for 25 years" on the basis of "compassion."

Another, rationale from an ancient religious document

What Trump the fool says and Trump the fool does are two completely different things.

ICE has already used children to target adults, Dreamers are smart to use caution.

Apparently, the parents of these illegal aliens could not take care of them either. Are you suggesting that we euthanize them? And we are cruel?

Please don't humor him.
If his dumb copied image was really somehow related to restricting womens control of their own bodies, equating it to murder, then the point really was just too fucking stupid to argue over.
