The thought of UF hiring Chip Kelly makes me queasy. He has a questionable reputation, both professionally and as a person (his rep is that he is a total jerk), and was on the NCAA's "show cause" list due to violations at Oregon (which were uncovered after he left). Sure, he is a good coach (or at least he was at one stop - Oregon), but, I would prefer an up and coming coach with a clean rep. I had my issues with a lot of Foley's decisions, but, I can't imagine him ever bringing Chip Kelly to UF. I fear that we will return to the types of recruits that Meyer had - great athletes who end up being more trouble than they are worth. Not a good hire for UF in my opinion.

Chip Kelly brings an exciting form of offense. Scott Frost has proven it works in Florida. UCF has the number one offense in the country. Fun to watch. Score at will. Its amazing how it works. Would it work in the SEC? More than likely. Auburn is running a similar offense.

Unfortunately, he would fit in at almost any college. There are jerks everywhere, including those who accuse all fans of the "other school" of being jerks. LOL (adding an LOL makes any offensive comment okay, I reckon).

Yes, the LOL is used as *sarcastic diabolic laugh* Spreading rumors that his 'rep is that he is a total jerk' makes one a jerk as well. LOL.

For years I heard how much George O'leary was a jerk. But, everytime I talked to him he was a gentleman and very funny. Ones perception of someone thru a 'reputation' isn't always true.

And, Gator fans are only jerks when their team is winning. Sort of like when UCF is winning, then us fans are jerks. See how that works? LOL.

No official announcement yet of Chip Kelly. Probably a secret bidding war going on between UCLA, Tennessee, and the Gators.

Funny how I see everyone is breaking out their Maimi Hurricane clothing. People I didn't ever know they were Cane fans are now all of a sudden cane fans. Jerks. Winners make people jerks. Its all fun. Sport's rivalries bring out the worse and best in people.

I saw one theory on twitter that Chip Kelly is waiting to the end of the 2017 season as he is still getting paid by the 49'ers. if he took a job then that is less money he would make. Supposedly he needs to wait until end of season. Saw article back in early this year that he is getting paid 6+ million a year to do nothing. if he gets another job then the difference needs to be paid, or something to that. Who knows.

Did anyone watch the FSU - UF game today? I didn't. How boring. Pillow fight. LOL.

I watched it. I'm just glad UFs season is over. I'm ready to move on to next year. We can't tackle, can't make a decent drive, can't avoid a turnover when we're deep in our territory. Couldn't believe one of the calls to run a wildcat in the middle of one of franks half way decent drives.

As far as coach goes, through all of this. Mullen is my choice for coach. He's done ok with a mediocre squad at MS st. He's got good history with UF. He's an SEC man. The rumblings day frost is as good as gone to NB Everyone should take a moment to write their congressman and tell them to bring Mullen back to FLORIDA!

Breaking News : University of Florida parts ways with Dan Mullen.

Unable to secure a national championship within 10 minutes of being named head coach, the University of Florida has decided to buy out Mullen's $500 million contract. Sources say donors were unhappy with Mullen's performance since being named head coach and just didn't click with them or the program. The University of Florida wishes Mullen well in his future victories over the Gators while head coach at a better school with a better football program.

God it's just too close to home, but that's damn funny. Apparently Tennessee found their panacea. Frost declined even to speak with Florida. I don't think he was just playing hard to get. I think he loves his team and loves Orlando. I hope he stays and becomes their saban.

The tennessee thing and Shiano is interesting. Reportedly hired him and fired him in same day due to fan outrage.

Chip Kelly told ESPN's Shelley Smith the following Monday: "I was open-minded to everything, but I was never offered the Florida job. We never got into contract negotiations."

Chip Kelly's deal to become UCLA's head coach will save the 49ers approximately $7.5 million, according to a source familiar with his contract situation.

"Chip did the 49ers a solid," the source told NBC Sports Bay Area.

The 49ers fired Kelly at the conclusion of the 2016 season after he served just one year of his four-year, $24 million contract. The 49ers' future financial commitment to Kelly is offset by the contract he signed with UCLA.

UCLA on Saturday announced the agreement of a five-year, $23.3 million contract with Kelly. The school also announced a $9 million "reciprocal buyout," which has no impact on the 49ers' payments to Kelly. The reciprical buyout refers to the compensation required if UCLA fires Kelly or he leaves the school early for another job.

Silly season on the coaching carousal. Guess we will find out after Saturday's games on where the Jimbo Fisher/Scott Frost/Sumlin/Taggart/and-more sweepstakes end up.

Scott Frost interview on the radio this morning with Mike Bianci sounded like a farewell speech.

You are also gonna have to learn to read between the lines when coach make statements when asked about other schools pursuing them.

In an article that you posted weeks ago ..... that you used a defense against Frost leaving .... he closed by saying "nothing has been decided" That is nothing more than a CYA ploy and actually means that the coach and pursuing school are deep in negotiations ....... 9 times outta 10 they are gone.

Sorry, I do not wish this on your squad. It is just the reality that UCF finds it'self in. Along with USF for that matter.
