We have Brighthouse and the internet bill was just raised $20/month. We had 200mb/s for $50/ month and the only other option they now provide is 300mb/s or 60mb/s at $70 and up.

I'm looking to switch back to something which is under $50 per month, preferably at the same speed we had originally. Any recommendations?

Suck it up, Buttercup. It seems that Blighthouse (Speculum) is the only game in town for higher speeds. The turds at AT&T may seem to be attractive, but they have a 1TB per month limit before they bend you over (with no lube).

South Korea crushes us in connectivity.

And truly, Spectrum is sucking more and more every week. Terrible service. Varying speeds of connectivity, TV always going down or choppy performance. Often I'm better off just teathering to my phone. Awful crap. Wish I had an answer to this.

Hey. Where are we going? (And what are we doing in a hand-basket?)

Basically the same here.  With brighthouse things were pretty consistant, never had any real dramas with speed or resetting (shut down, restart) the boxes, and it was always working (maybe occasionally for a few minutes when they were doing some work someplace....but I don't ever recall it being aggravating).

Spectrum is different.  Our TV service locks up at least once a week and i need to reboot everything, the internet is OK but not consistant, and the prices have gone up.  Not really feeling a lot of love for them right now.

If it was just me I'd change it all up and go bare bones, but my family wouldn't be up for that.

At 4pm, when school gets out I think all of Satellite Beach slows down to modem speed.

At the very least use ATT to leverage Spectrum for lower prices if you stay with them. They dropped my bill about $20 AND added in all the movie channels (I only had HBO beforE)

All I want is fast internet. Don't need TV.

I am just saying in general, you can use ATT to leverage spectrum. Just have a competitive offer from someone else handy and talk to a retention specialist
