Good Landscapers are either a closely guarded secret or they all just suck. I got one response last time I asked

Ask in the gardening forum - maybe someone will know someone I can use too

Yeah that's why I posted this here.

And come to think of it. I worked for a landscaper in college and am very aware of some (not all) of the folks that work those gigs. It was a rude awakening and good motivation to study. I might take this job on myself.

Blue Bell... big no for me.

Contacted them and was told supervisor would call me back. They never did so contacted them again. Same thing. Finally called me back only to tell me they were too busy to take on the work. Pretty shitty to keep someone waiting a week just to tell you they can't take on your business, when that could have just been said from the get go easily enough.

I get landscapers are busy this time of year ...but really? Unprofessional.

I gave them a try as well. Kept me waiting for over a week and didn't follow up as he promised he would on our initial conversation to stop by and give me a quote. Seemed promising at first and I was more than willing to work with his schedule and time it would take to get to my place to begin work (4-6 weeks).

Again, I get that everyone is busy this time of year ...what I don't get is how unprofessional some of our local companies are.

Apparently that guy doesnt need business either. Kept me on the hook for a week and a half saying he would stop by to take a look and give a quote. I stayed in contact, followed up, and he was a no show.

To be fair, he was more responsive than the other places I tried, but he still dropped the ball.

I appreciate all the input but want to reiterate that I did the job myself. Took a while but was good for saving a buck and breaking my back. No biggie.

Thanks again Everyone.
