Here comes the dry spell. I should have done the grass 2 weeks ago.

I know. gotta buy a cheap sprinkler. gonna have to hand water tonight. The ground was still moist this morning and there has been early morning dew on it. So that helps. It doesn't take much water.

A week later and I have full germination and a green lawn! winter is the only time i can grow grass. My yard is pretty much all shade and don't have sprinkler system. The rye tolerates shade and low watering. I've hand watered the past few days and the yard looks nice and green flush.

Rye grass has really filled in now. Gotta throw some more seed down to fill in the spots that didn't take.
Looks really good and green! Need some rain though. |

I'm convinced the rain gawd reads this forum. Got some perfect rain last night for the rye grass. Threw some more seed down for next day's rain.
Bring it. |
