Any opinions on neem oil or other suggestions for safe and sustainable pest control for the vegetable garden?
I used sevin dust years ago, but I'm trying the be more responsible. ------------------------- Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system. In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer". |

I heard it works. Also, just plain ole' dish soap does also. Gotta stay on top of it though. Also, when you see bugs squash them with your fingers.

I use neem oil and Dr Bronners soap. Also DE. Actinovate for powdery mildew. Coconut oil spray for scale. Always spray in the evening. I use a blacklight flashlight at night to find caterpillars on my plants. They glow.

Doesn't evening spraying promote fungus?

I spray at night so it doesn't affect pollinators. Doesn't seem to cause fungus.
