Just wondering how is looking, is it too dry?

Looks terrible. Last year was a bumper crop. I think the storm shocked (shook) a lot of trees into putting more resources into their roots rather than fruit. Plus, a bumper season usually follows with an off year. Combination of factors making this year look lame from my perspective...which is my garden and driving tropical trail regularly.

I think they liked the wet winter/spring last year.

Been mostly dry since April 2016. We were under 40" of rain in Rockledge from April 1, 2016 to April 1, 2017. I don't think Merritt Island or the beaches faired any better. That plus Mathew probably put some stress on them.

My Tebow is actually doing really well. This is it's 2nd year fruiting and I have ~20 about to come off the tree. I had a second bloom that look to be producing about the same. My Haden isn't having the best year as it only has ~5 fruit from the first bloom and few more from a 2nd.

My Edward which is not a good producer is about average. The VP did not bloom this year, but that's ok cuz it is just getting tall enough to be above the well water sprinklers, this years new vegetative/branching, [which is above average], will put it out of reach of the sulfer water that burns the leaves so badly.

Fruit is shedding like crazy in the past week, hundreds on the ground. WE NEED RAIN.

I thought Mangos like a dry spring

Overall, the mango forecast is bleak (less than the standard production volume) for 2017 from Brevard all the way to Monroe County.

www.islandtropicalfruit.com: 40 Lychee Trees, 13 have fruit (32.5%), 27 Longan Trees, none even flowered, Wax Jambu minimum flowers no fruit yet, Peaches minimal fruit, not enough to open stand, Thai Guava, no flowers, Avocados, loaded, Mangoes, so-so, but wind keeps knocking them off.

Dam squirrels eating all mine. Is there a place I can buy a net or something to cover the tree?

I believe it was a combination of the storm and last year being a massive bumper crop. The trees are building back up reserves and putting resources into roots.

Net will slow down birds, but not squirrel. you can buy netting online, HD/LOWES.

I have a couple trees that are holding a lot of fruit.

Mango do like it dry. So don't water them. Also, don't fertilize during this dry spell.

Mine put out some flowers, didn't put much effort into it.  Some trees around the neighborhood were far more enthusiastic.

I've "relocated" over 50 and they keep coming! I wonder if spraying the fruit with pepper extract might deter the little bastards?

Today's thunderstorm dropped all remaining mangoes from my tree. It's flowering again so maybe second round will be better.

Me as well. Today rain storm knocked down about 50 fruit. They are glenn and early mango. Small size. But, they should ripen up.

Because I removed all but one of my trees last year, the Mangifera gods are mad at me and my one remaining Mallika is barren this year.
What sacrifice do I need to perform to appease them and get at least a few next year?
