Sad. Dick Dale Passes
------------------------- I've surfed most of the days of my life, the rest have just been wasted |

RIP. I saw his performance at the King Center about 2 years ago. He was telling stories and joking about all the medical procedures/conditions he'd had, and what it was taking to keep him alive. Great show; honored to have seen it.

Saw him thrice over the years. Very loud. Very very good.
He surfed. He and Merman Jim Thomas are the only major surf guitarists I know of that did/do. I wonder where The Beast will end up? |

A true original. RIP
BTW - DD was a lefty, this surfer is Jon Martin, but he is surfing and playing a Fender and DD would be proud!
