"I don't believe in science," said Hughes, whose main sponsor for the rocket is Research Flat Earth. "I know about aerodynamics and fluid dynamics and how things move through the air, about the certain size of rocket nozzles, and thrust. But that's not science, that's just a formula. There's no difference between science and science fiction."

Ok, there is no science he says now.

Let's see what he says after he launches (if he isn't a greasy spot in the Mojave).

I know what's going to be flat and it's not the earth.

It will be quite a shock when he gets up there, looks down and sees a ball.

And then dies of asphyxiation. Wonder if gravity, a retrorocket, or a parachute entered in to the equation. But simply watching a ship go over the horizon was apparently beyond his grasp....

Didn't Concords fly high enough to see the curvature of the earth? Seems like if that's what he was really trying to prove he could do the same with a balloon and a GoPro. But I guess that wouldn't make the news.

What's the formula for immediate regret?

Here's some mechanical engineer (and aero, right Bamboo?) speak: "Formulas are for babies".

We don't use formulas, we solve equations.

We also have a sticker next to the toilet paper: "Do not exceed 300 RPM."

And, I have a reference book for damn near everything from ordnance to little red rubber balls.  But they are for reference, an  Engineer/scientist knows how to apply and temper those factors to solve the equations!

Love placards....i even have one that says Do not drop, kick, or roll this weapon.  Seriously!

Was suppose to launch on Saturday, but was delayed.

1.  Didn't have proper permissions to launch that class of rocket on gov't land.

2.  Motor home launcher rig broke down in driveway as he was leaving.

Supposedly he found some private land he intends to use, but there are still some FAA regulations he needs to address.

I'm sure he will get it all figured out 'cuz he has the formulas.

I have seen this movie before. It usually does not end well.

Permitting should be a cinch in the Trump era. He just needs to just say how Obama kept him launching and Trump will approve it through a poorly written Executive Order.

Rules and regulations are whats holding this country back. Let them the man advance formulas for all of our benefit.

LMAO, nice one!

Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system.

In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer".
