I'm working on a website for a local company and was going to use some public domain wave shots, but thought I could possibly use a local photographer.

Can't offer any money, but the site will be high profile (can't give any more details right now) so good exposure. Will credit photographer in the footer.

Need some shots that will work well cropped as long horizontals (like a website header)

If anyone is interested, PM me and send me what ya got

Thanks!

I do badly at pursuing waves with people on/in them.  I respect the photographers who are good at them.   Even when given really amazing light, I do badly.

South beach, of course

Here's a classic case of should have woke up slightly earlier and brought along better equipment.

New Plymouth

More good lighting to no effect.

Hatteras lighthouse

And you can't do much about ugly water.

s Beach

Once in a while, good light, pretty wave.  This was on a really interesting day, some great skimboarding.

I gotta say props to you for looking for local shots from local shooters to use for your spread.  too many times I see some article in FT about how the surf is up and the photo is of a flailing beginner on inside whitewater.. while shredders were dropping in on bombs outside that day or  when a tourism site uses summer flatness as its biggest photo but lists surfing as activity to be enjoyed - lols <rant over> I guess it's better that our best waves never get too much press.

That said, a super wide header is a unique challenge.  I'll try to find something..

Thanks guys-

still havent found the perfect pic yet- yes the wide header is a unique challenge.

To clarify a bit more- im looking for something with a glassy day preferably- something to make you drool when you see the website

ideally a longboarder, but not crtitical

then of course it needs to be a wide shot, so I can crop it wide horizontal w/o cutting off the surfer

3rd, ideally the color of the water would be blueish/ turquoiusish-- or enough that I can pump up the saturation a bit and make it look inviting.

It's like brown/grey gravy around here so much, it takes a special sunny day to get this I know...

But please send me anything you've got!

Like!  I need beach time.  Was sick much of Jan. with the Vero Runny Nose.  Now it's spring and I fear it'll be flat till September.

Here's one I took of monster hole last week.  you might be able to crop it in a wide aspect pretty well.. not your typical Florida wave though!  that was some real juice...

This is reduced to fit upload limits of 2nd light. Cropped for a header.  I don't have a free file web sharing account anymore.. Photobucket got sucky. It's kinda grainy since I was bout 1/2 a mile down the beach lol!  if you want the raw file to play with yourself just pm me and I'll email it to you any time
