Sunday: Big surf with NW winds
Sunday: Big surf with NW winds.

Jose swell is maxed out today. The buoys show big swell.

Swell looks to decay each day this week with Sunday the biggest around 6 foot plus. I haven't seen it yet but probably bigger South and smaller the further North you go in Brevard.

The local wind looks to blow from the NW in the morning then switch from the North as the day goes on. Onshore winds for Monday.

Next update Sunday afternoon.

  Saturday: Big surf from Jose
Saturday: Big surf from Jose.

I haven't had internet or power since last weekend. I have been surfing and it was fun earlier in the week.

Jose swell looks to come in Friday afternoon. Should be big through the weekend and early next week.

Local winds look mostly onshore. Swell looks to last into mid-week.

If you haven't heard from me it is due to loss of connectivity.

Next update probably the weekend.

Big and Choppy until Irma moves North of us, then later in week swell from Jose
Nasty conditions through Monday. Not doing a surf forecast. But, look to surf next week after Irma moves North of us and Jose swell. Be careful and play it safe!

Next update Wednesday morning (if have internet).

  Tuesday: small surf
Tuesday: small to barely rideable.

We should see an ESE swell fill in on the buoys later today and into Wednesday. Surf size looks to pick up on Wednesday in the 3-4 foot range with long period swell.

Local wind forecast looks good for early Wednesday.

Swell gets larger into Thursday and each day into the weekend. Unfortunately onshore winds come with it and pick up each day as well.

Tuesday morning model runs and the NHC have Irma as a very strong hurricane tracking between Florida and Cuba by Sunday. We will see huge surf and strong onshore winds this morning. After that the cane looks to recurve. When that happens is anyone's guess.

Small/flat Tuesday morning. Should see early forerunners Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday picks up long period ESE swell from Irma. Then after that choppy bigger surf Thursday and into the weekend.

Next update Wednesday night.

  Surf into Saturday
We should see continued small NE swell into Saturday.

Wind is forecast to be calm to SW in morning. Probably onshores in afternoon.

I'm expecting NE swell to be around 2-4 feet into Saturday. Friday was about that same size.

Sunday and Monday probably will taper off with small lingering NE swell.

Swells from Irma next week. Irma looks like it has great potential to finally give us bigger surf. I'll take a better look at it next forecast. Mid-week we should see something and by the following weekend it could be really big.

Next update Saturday morning.

Wednesday: 1-3 feet in NE swell
Wednesday: 1-3 feet in NE swell.

Buoys off Canaveral continue to show small NE swell. Check the reports. Looks to be small but the wind offshore. So could be fun at small wave spots.

Looks like we will see a slightly bigger NE swell into the 3 day weekend. The storm that was called Tropical Cyclone 10 is currently spinning off the Northeast states. Checking the buoys up there and the ocean is being churned up.

Wave models shows NE swell filling on Friday and lasting through Monday. Size for now looks to be around 2-3 feet and tapering off into later in the weekend. However, it may be a tad bigger. Virtual buoys keep it small. However, there may be a period of time that is slightly bigger from the main pulse of the NE swell.

Long range models shows after the 3 day weekend it drops off in size back to typical summer time conditions. That system spinning off the Cape Verde Islands shows to trek across the Atlantic and possible be a swell maker for us the following weekend. Too far away in space and time to make a prediction. But, keep an eye on this system. NHC says great chance to turn into a Hurricane.

Super small Wednesday and waiting to see what we get for the 3 day weekend. We should see something from the NE.

Next update Friday morning.

  Tuesday: small NE swell
Tuesday: There is a small NE swell showing. Check the reports.

That low off of Hatteras is now called Tropical Cyclone Ten. Its hugging the coast too much. Maybe something off it later in the week/weekend.

Long range shows that low off of Africa turning into a Tropical Storm. However too far away in space and time to predict any surf off it yet.

Small surf next few days. Possible NE swell Friday and into Saturday from TC-10.

Next update Wednesday morning.

  Monday: small surf
Monday: small surf

Looking to see if that storm off the coast kicks back a NE swell. Maybe later in the week. Virtual buoy models say Friday and the weekend. But, that low has to go off the coast more.

Next update Tuesday morning.

  Thursday: 1-2 feet.
Thursday: 1-2 feet.

Small uptick showing for Friday. Probably around 2-3 feet with offshore winds.

The low on top of South Florida looks to move up the coast the next few days. Hopefully the weather system kicks back a NE swell and doesn't hug the coast too much. Virtual buoy models show NE swell from this system by Tuesday and into Wednesday.

Models have this system winding up pretty tight off the coast of Hatteras and moving up to the Northeast. If this was November I would call it a Nor'easter as it looks like a classic one on the weather models. NHC says chance of tropical storm.

Weekend surf depends on what this system does to the local winds. The wind is hard to predict when the low is so close. We should see the typical SE trade wind swell coming in the weekend, but the local winds could be offshore/onshore/dead. Just have to wait and see real time.

Next update Saturday morning.

  Monday: 1-2 feet semi-chop
Monday: 1 to 2 feet.

We should see an uptick into Tuesday. Local onshore wind and mix of SE trade wind swell. There is a weak low pressure just East of the Bahamas.

Tuesday looks to be around 2-3 feet with choppy conditions.

Mid-week looks to still be rideable but probably smaller. Long range forecast calls for bigger surf this weekend and early next week. Tropics are finally heating up. Nothing major so far in the forecast but it is looking better as we get closer to September.

Also, models shows a low pressure just East of the Florida coast next week. Kinda looks like a winter type storm. Something to keep an eye on!

Next update Tuesday night.

  Thursday: small/flat
Thursday: small/flat

Not much swell.

Looks to stay small/flat next few days.

Virtual buoy models shows an uptick late Saturday and into Sunday. There is a lot of activity in the tropics. Long range models shows nothing major, but probably an increase in SE trade wind swell into the weekend and early next week.

NHC says good possibility we will see some named storms but none are in swell window yet. Maybe next week.

Next update Saturday morning.

Monday: 1-3 feet in ESE swell
Monday: 1-3 feet. Glassy morning afternoon chop.

Small swell is showing from Gert. This small swell looks to go into Tuesday. And, that is about it with that swell. Looks to go back to small/flat by midweek and into the weekend.

Weather models shows a chance for surf for next weekend and early next week from a another tropical storm. Long way away but long range models shows potential.

Next update Tuesday night.

  Next update Sunday morning.
Waiting for Sunday models. We should see a small swell from that weak low to the East-SE of us. So far virtual buoys don't show much. However, NHC saying good chance of formation to a depression.

Wednesday: 1-3 feet in SE wind swell
Wednesday: 1-3 feet in SE wind swell

Looks like continued conditions. Basically summertime SE winds and small waves.

We probably will see a bump up of SE trade wind swell late Sunday and into Monday. A tropical wave has been moving across the Atlantic and slated to be East of the Bahamas by late weekend. These weak systems always bumps up the swell a little bit.

No major swells in the long range forecast.

Next update Saturday morning.
