This Sunday, June 19th, Hurley’s pro surfers Rob Machado, Asher Nolan, Oliver Kurtz, Michael Dunphy and more will be hosting a free surf competition for youngsters 16 and under at Shepard Park in Cocoa Beach, FL. Everything is finalized for the contest and luau. Lots of divisions that people asked for. New this year, everyone will get a raffle ticket when they enter and prize bags will be raffled off after the awards. Spectrum Surf Contest May 29th
Spectrum is holding a surf contest on May 29th 2010, the contest is being held at South Speccard Holland state park just south of melbourne beach. The contest will start at 8 a.m. Saturday may 29th and if there is a lack of waves will possibly be postponed for the following weekend. The contest is only $15.00 and is a fundraiser for helping with the oil clean up process. There are plenty of prize packages for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each division. Causeway to Causeway Paddle Challenge (C2C) Oct 17
Third annual Causeway to Causeway Paddle Challenge (C2C) is scheduled for October 17th. This will again be a 22 mile non trophy event, but we will track participants finish times. All paddlecraft are welcome to attend.
Sign-up will start at 7AM and will start promptly at 8 AM. Entry fee is $20. This will include a nice sun-blocker paddling jersey, raffle items and lunch. The challenge will start at Lee Wenner Park at Cocoa Village (at the base of the SR 520 Causeway bridge). The course will parallel the Intracoastal Waterway in the Indian River and continue south for 11 miles to the bridge at the Pineda Causeway (SR 519). Sean and Skippy Slater Invitational Surf Contest Nov 7-9
COCOA BEACH, Fla. (October 20, 2008) - The Bright House Networks World Skin Cancer Foundation's Third Annual Fall Classic - a month-long series of outdoor special events to raise awareness and funding for the fight against skin cancer - will once again conclude with the Sean and Skippy Slater Invitational Surf Contest, the weekend of November 7 - 9, at the Hilton Cocoa Beach. The event is being presented by The Cocoa Beach Surf Company and Ocean Potion.
The Slater Invitational will be highlighted by the participation of the Slaters' brother and surfing superstar Kelly Slater, who recently won a record ninth surfing world championship.
