Strong offshore winds as Debbie moves out into the Atlantic looks to blow the surf flat into Wednesday and Thursday.

NHC is saying that Debbie will move NE and stay weak.

Models shows Debbie moving out in the Atlantic and track to the NE.

Will we see surf from Debbie?

What I am looking for is NE winds on the NW quadrant of Debbie that would be pointed back at Central Florida. This Wednesday morning the buoy off of St. Augistine is reading very strong NNE winds. This is promising and should send a NE swell down the coast.

What the models do show is that we may see a brief period of NE winds as Debbie hits the gulf stream. Thus, we should see surf Thursday and into Friday. However size is difficult to guess.

Virtual buoys shows it staying small. My gut feeling is that we will see 2-4 feet for Thursday with about the same size on Friday.

I don't expect this swell to last very long and the weekend is looking iffy.

Local winds look to blow strong from the N-NW into Thursday and West for Friday. Thus, any swell that we do see on Friday should have good form.

Long range forecast shows just typical small E-SE trade wind swell for the weekend and next week with no major swell makers in it.

Looking for a pick up into Thursday and lasting into Friday. More favorable local winds for Friday. Also, swell size looks to be bigger North of the Cape.

Next update Thursday morning.
